Role Overview:
We’re looking for a General Software Developer Intern to join our technical team for a 16-month placement. This role is ideal for someone passionate about robotics, embedded systems, and full-stack development. You’ll work across layers—from control logic to user-facing dashboards—helping us deliver smarter and more efficient robotics solutions.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- Comfortable working in Linux environments for development and deployment
- Strong programming skills in Python and C++
- Understanding of REST APIs and WebSockets for client-server communication
- Familiarity with the React framework for building responsive web interfaces and dashboards
- Experience using Git for version control and collaboration
- A passion for solving complex technical problems and learning in a hands-on environment
- Previous robotics experience developing control systems, integrating sensors, and working with ROS and simulation tools
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, technical team
Key Accountabilities:
- Write and maintain Python scripts for automation, testing, and system integration
- Contribute to Python and C++ codebases for robot controls
- Build and support React-based dashboards for monitoring, analytics, and multi-robot control
- Help design and implement RESTful APIs and WebSocket-based interfaces for real-time communication
- Apply excellent communication skills to understand and implement customer requirements
- Provide responsive online support during high-pressure situations
- Use Git for version control and collaborative development
